New Mindfulness Drop-in Series Starting at The Meeting Point
These workshops are open to new and experienced practitioners looking for community to support and enliven their mindfulness practice. Mindfulness practice is a wonderful way to better manage stress, increase compassion for oneself and others, and better cope with mental and physical distress. Facilitated by Meeting Point therapist Marlo Pedroso, LICSW. March 13/Mindfulness Meditation, a Path of Presence and Healing: Join us in exploring the unique and transformative aspects of mindfulness, and see how it can increase presence, ease, and insight. What does mindfulness offer that is different from psychology or most self-help strategies? April 10/Kindness and Compassion: Learn compassion practices that can help you meet your shadows without shame, with skill, by creating conditions for transformation, confidence, and healing. Practice and learn means to cultivate self-acceptance and the conditions for deep changes.

Compassionate Healing Ritual Series will be co-facilitated by Karuna O’Donnell and Tracy Rich Join us for a six-week journey of healing and re-parenting ourselves through meditation, breath, yoga/bodywork, chant, and ritual.The class will offer participants opportunities to identify an area of growth and healing and to receive support and tools around letting go of ways we hold on to, are stuck in, or have not yet been able to move through grief, anger, trauma,and loss.
The intent of the classes are to serve each person’s experience effectively and with care, so that they are resourced with practical and accessible tools to create and sustain a practice that leads to healing and growth.
This class is trauma informed,appropriate for all bodies,all levels(including no experience) and for those recovering from illness and injury. Through Breath, Forrest Yoga Basic Moves,Meditation, Chant,and Ritual,participants will learn to soothe their internal environment, build a connection to their physical and energetic core, increase their breath capacity, and practice compassion for themselves and others.

We seek submissions of art related to HAIR. We welcome visual two and three-dimensional art as well
