    Description:

In this workshop you will be invited to follow Liz Eanniello, LICSW (she/they) as she guides you in accessing joyful stillness and connection through the practice of yoga nidra.

Yoga Nidra or yoga sleep is a pratyahara technique (removal of sensory stimuli) in which the distractions of the mind are contained, and the mind is relaxed, allowing the whole-body system to achieve a hypnogogic state -a state in the middle of sleep and wakefulness.

The practice of yoga nidra supports reduced stress levels and improved concentration, helps with navigating experiences of depression and anxiety, and allows us to connect deeper to ourselves.

We will remain lying (or seated) on the floor throughout the practice.

    NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

    About Liz:

Liz Eanniello, LICSW (she/they) is a licensed independent clinical social worker and somatic therapist whose practice is rooted in the belief that safe, supportive connection heals, and a deep knowing that trauma, anxiety, and suffering are stored and live within the body. It is from these truths and an eclectic theoretical and experiential approach that Liz supports individuals in restoring healthy connection with themselves, others, and the universe.

I aim to cultivate little joys that feel impossible, explore a fraught relationship with body/gender, and express anarchistic values. My work is available in several indie bookstores and giftshops, both in the U.S. and abroad; at in-person craft markets in New England throughout the year; and online via my Etsy and Bonfire pages.
