I specialize in working with clients experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, gender exploration, and life transitions. As a member of the LGBTQIA + community, I am especially passionate about serving my community. I firmly believe that self-discovery is a process that occurs throughout the lifespan, and that this process is deeply impacted by larger societal structures, as well as interpersonal and relational dynamics. The lens through which I work holds that healing is an individual experience that is different for everyone. I value creating safe enough and comfortable space using my sense of humor, creativity, and flexibility to establish authentic therapeutic relationships.
My previous work has allowed me to develop a better clinical understanding and focus on the impact of oppression on the individual. I believe that therapy is a space to heal, learn, be curious and grow. I attended Suffolk University where I earned a B.S. in Psychology, and Women and Gender Studies. Upon graduating, I decided to attend social work school to better understand and gain more experience working with both the clinical and social justice aspects of being a social worker. I graduated from Simmons University in 2017 with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree, and have since gone on to earn independent licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I have attended many trainings centered around gender, sexuality, and identity since becoming a social worker and continue to further my education presently.
