PRACTICE STATUS:
I currently have openings for both office-based and virtual sessions.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist offering medication management and psychotherapy. I completed medical school at Boston University followed by psychiatry residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School. I provide care in-person at The Meeting Point and at an office in Coolidge Corner, as well as online via telehealth.
My approach to medical care: I will take the time to get to know you, build trust, and help you make informed treatment decisions. I think holistically about mental health and will consider how other factors like your lifestyle, relationships, and other medical issues could be affecting your mental health and could be improved. I prescribe medication thoughtfully and carefully. I will check in with you regularly about side effects and help you come off of medication if it is no longer beneficial or necessary.
My approach to psychotherapy: When I am also providing psychotherapy, my approach usually involves exploring patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in your present life and in the past. I believe this process can lead to a deeper self-understanding and empower you to make changes in your life.
My specialization: I have worked with a variety of individuals and treated a wide variety of mental health conditions, but I most commonly treat depression, anxiety, and ADHD in college/graduate students, young adults, and LGBT+ individuals. I previously worked at Simmons University as a college psychiatrist and Fenway Health during residency.
Please contact me if you would like to learn more about my approach or discuss payment options.
