Please join us for an evening of open mic poetry reading to raise funds for the Trans Asylum Seekers Support Network.
Join us at the Meeting Point in JP to read or enjoy poetry while simultaneously raising funds for a vital community organization. If you would like to share your poetry please fill out this Google form. If you would like to attend please purchase a ticket via Eventbrite using the button below . You can purchase a ticket if you are doing a reading to support the event, but you are not required to.
Music by DJ Math3ca will be going all evening. Refreshments will be provided, as well as information and resource tables. This event is sponsored by the Massachusetts Trans Political Coalition and The Meeting Point.
Masks are required and will be provided if need be. Feel free to email kmacewenlicsw@gmail.com with any accommodation needs. ASL interpretation will be provided. The Meeting Point has a ramp to the front door and there are no stairs to access the bathroom or event spaces.

About the Organizers:
The Trans Asylum Seeker Support Network (TASSN) is a border abolitionist direct action and mutual aid collective focused on supporting transgender asylum seekers in crossing the border, getting out of detention, securing housing, legal support, healthcare, transportation, and comprehensive daily financial and material support, building thriving lives and communities, and winning their asylum cases. TASSN provides a variety of life saving supports not available through the non-profit industrial complex including truama informed emotional support, and financial support that is guided by the indiviauls wants and needs.
